The TCB-CSR Initiative was first incorporated as part of The Complete Banker (“TCB”), the management trainee programme of CIMB Group, in 2007. As the objectives of TCB is to nurture and groom well-rounded young talents for CIMB Group, it is important that CSR be incorporated as a vital component of the programme. Management trainees under TCB are required to complete certain CSR requirements within a period of one year.
The key objectives of TCB-CSR are
To promote awareness of the need for CSR in today’s community.
To empower TCB Associates with the knowledge and understanding of CSR To effectively improve the quality of life of the community.
To encourage TCB Associates to be actively involved in CSR work by fostering a conducive environment.
Management trainees, or TCB Associates, are involved in a variety of activities – from planning and running large scale charitable events to providing tuition for underprivileged kids. In return for their efforts, they gain valuable experiences and skills, build friendships and earn a sense of achievement from knowing that they have made a sustainable and lasting impact in society.
